I hope this isnt the case as it would defeat the purpose of the class. Spec tires make it cheaper to race and closer. I am sure Jaco would be more than willing to step up and sponsor the whole series and tracks would be able to make a little money on the tires as well.

I have to agree 100 % ..... You have to continue running with a spec tire or this class will be dead right after cleveland...

BTW as far as i know Cleveland does not have a spec tire for World GT either

I seen where Mr Bill posted they were discussing the GT class spec tire idea now. Hopefully they will go along with the flow. There are only two 10th scale tire manufactures really...BSR and Jaco. BSR gets their foam from Jaco so if it came down to it they could use the lilac and mark them as such like Jaco is doing with the carbon wheel.

Either way the GT class is awesome and it would be ashame to ruin it right away.

P.S. I also see that Cleveland is 17.5 in the GT class...that is a mistake as well as the 13.5's are perfect for most drivers and a little to slow for the better drivers.....So 17.5's are going to be super slow!

Scratch that...I just seen where it is 13.5 for the GT class. They either changed it or I was misinformed.

Thanks Smoothness.......... Rules are set and it may not be good to change for this venue. I don't know. Thanks for the info and I will relay the message.

I ran Speedmind/Sorex 28's and Jaco greens yesterday. Sorex were a tenth or two quicker, but with a few set up changes the Jaco may be as fast. I have some carpet series 28 Sweeps on the way to try next weekend. I will keep you posted... As of right now I would pick the SpeedRex.
