Is there a way to change the shaft without removing the diff boxes? I want to install the aluminum steering/carbon link without removing the top of the diff box. If not, it's no biggy.

On the yokomo i was able to change shafts in seconds. Having a bit of difficulty seeing if I can do this or if there is a way to remove the shaft without opening anything up.

Also, are Tamiya shocks the same as HPi shocks? Are they 50mm or 55mm?

One ways need to be cleaned and lubed. Remember they are just a bearing, so need the same maintenance. I clean them with spray and lube them generously with bearing oil. I had them fail in the past becasue of slack maintenance. If you run ona clean surface they will last longer, but will go in the end. As with everything maintenance is key.

THERE IS NO TB03-R KIT.

Believe me when i say that no TB03-R kit will be shown at the upcoming show, and nothing regarding a TB03-R has been announced yet.

Something 416 based with shaft drive?

Being in sales, it is my job to sell what we have Jimmy! Someone asks a random question about a TB03-R and everyone jumps on board....sheesh!!!!

I think the Evo 5 MS is as close as you can get to that. I mean, it's got the 416 suspension with a shaft drive right? I am shocked you don't have one yourself.

I beg to differ...

A "one way bearing" is not a bearing. It is a "clutch". and as with all clutches you do not lubricate them, they will slip and cause premature wear on the shaft surface.

Also with cleaning; The cage in 95% of all micro size one ways are plastic. Use the wrong solvent and the cage will distort, fracture or melt rendering your one way useless.

Just my $.02

Hey guys!! Hows everyone doing?

I've been heavily looking at the EVO though I had something to prove this year with the STD TB03 and I think we accomplished it. The videos show how much better the TB is over the competitions car in the same price range.

Next year if we opt for a "Pro" RCGT class I will consider the Evo.

You will have to remove the shock plate (as I call it) and just remove the four screws from the bottom holding the diff cases to the chassis. That will remove it out of the way quicker than pulling the top plate.

Chris, I would never DQ you.....but if you have trouble in tech, and it prevents you from making your main, well those things happen.

No, I know one will come out eventually, but now is not that time. Trust me, I am excited for it as well.

Still enjoying your MS Chris?

Ok thanks, that sounds much more practical. Also, does anyone know what are Tamiya shocks the same as HPi shocks? Are they 50mm or 55mm?

What are the standard size shocks 55mm?
