Thanks for the info Usagi. I just want to try new things and see. I might race the REEDY this year at the TAMIYA track. See what happens.

Well, if I do ending up getting three sets, I'll have to ebay the rest! tahoma

I got info on the legaling of the 414M and M2 for the TAMIYA TCS races. This is from my friend that talked with Fred(TRF Team Manager, USA).

"I know you guys will start to ask at some point,so I will give you the answers right now. Yes, the new F-1 car will be TCS legal. What rules will govern the new car I have not decided yet. The 414M 2 will be legal for tcs once it becomes widley available in hobby stores. IS the M2 any different from the M that was sold last year you ask? NO. It's exactly the same car with the exception of blue parts. The parts are 100% the same. All the geometry is the same, so if you already have one then you are ahead of the game. When will these new toys be available? April we hope. Christmas has come early to us all."

Where do you get the 414M? I called Tamiya America, they said to get it from a hobby store?? I thought it could be purchased directly?

My friends call TAMIYA-USA and they said it's all out of stock. I think they will not have any more of the "M" but will be carrying the "M2". But then that can be purchased through your LHS this coming april April.

So it used to be that you could get the 414M from Tamiya America directly? I don't want an M2 I like the M better... but I've only seen them for like $500 US which is insane.

Potato: You used to be able to get the M's from Tamiya America. But since the M2 will be out soon and be distributed you can get them from the distributor.. Should be sometime in april when they will be out. And yeah no more M's around unless you look on ebay or From outside the US. All you will see are the M2's

Potato

You could always get the M2 and take the blue anodizing off

NARU, I thought about doing that, maybe it will work.. but doesn't the M have some sort of silver anodizing or something, I mean it's not bare aluminum, there's a coating of something. If I remove the anodizing on the M2, it might look weird..?
