Yeah that should be fine. Run it for 3 minutes and check temps. If they're acceptable you're good. If they're too hot and already in the 170 range you need to make changes.

Randy...I'm running alot of 17.5 touring car on asphalt. I was having the issue with my car slowing down ...which has already been addressed, thanks to all the guys on here. What i'd like to know is...what kinda temps should I be getting on the RS speed control after a 6 minute heat? When I was having that issue the motor was 138 degrees and the speedcontrol was 140. Is that excessive? Thanks in advance dude!

To tell the truth...I never noticed the lights. I don't think I even looked at them.
That must be how you can tell if the speedo got too hot?

It worked fine for me.
Add an extra cap or two, even better.

Roll with a Murfdogg 4.5 or D3 @ 48mm
LRP x12-4.5 @ 37mm

On indoor carpet, 90x45.
Haven't tested anything else.
