Is it still recommended to use dual mode for mod motors? Does anyone run mod motors in sensored mode?

HotWire requires that MDAC28, .NET2.0 and Windows Installer are all installed on the computer.

My guess is that one of the first two is missing. Both are on the original HotWire Install CD.

just thought i would share my 17.5 rubber tc hotwire set-up.

motor :

tekin: 15 degrees

novak ballistic:37 degrees ( neutral setting on motor is 30 degrees)

timing boost: 15

turbo boost: 10

delay: .02

fdr: 5.2

this set-up works very well for me and thought i would share it.

motor temp: 141 degrees after 6 min.

Jeff,

What size track do you run that setup on?

I wanted to know the best setting for the Novak Ballistic motors. They come with 30 degrees so should I turn the timing down on the motor or the speedo? If the motor comes with 30 already I was thinking I don't want to go higher than that just wanted to know which is better, on the motor or the speedo. Also how does it all correspond with turbo? I have v200 firm ware. Please excuse if this has been asked before.

To answer which timing is better it all depends. I came to the conclusion the Ballistic makes more heat past +2 (40 degrees). But makes more power if you do it in the speedo. On the 17.5 I tried different combos of gearing from 4.1 to 6.0 and timing over the last 2 weeks.

On the track you race at... (96 ft Strait)

V200-Vegas

30 Timing Boost
20 Turbo Boost
.2 Delay
32.5 Timing on the Ballistic (N +.5) (if you come off cool after 6 go up .5 more till you get the temp you want)
5.59 FDR

If the track is less technical and you don't need as much punch

15 Timing Boost
20 Trubo Boos
.2 Delay
30 Timing on Ballistic (neutral)
4.90 FDR

Having a problem with my 2nd RS today. The first 2 to 4 laps the car feels great and you can definitely see the turbo kick in. But after that the seems like it is stuck in first gear, like turbo isn't kicking in. I've already tried rebinding my radio gear, reprogramming the RS, and finally did a factory reset. None of those seemed to fix it. The motor (LRP 13.5) was running just under 150 degrees and the ESC felt warm for the first time that I've ever noticed. Any ideas?

My other RS is running great still. I'll probably swap the 2 since my other RS is in my 1/12th where I don't use turbo right now anyway.
