Jimmy, I may go ahead and get one too, once I get the oval fixed I think I am going to sell it, just not my thing and then buy one of these. Maybe 17.5 with lipo and run it with the 13.5 touring class we are going to run in Durham this year?

Right now there are 8 companies coming out with 200mm Pro-10 cars. There are magazine articles in the works and the response on line has been really good.

I am almost certain this class will take off and be raced locally everywhere.

Can you post a pic of it with a big lipo down the center?

The only way I would want to use it is using my TrakPower's down the center like the CRC

You said it is pretty, im just wondering how bad is it?

I dont want to buy saddle lipos and then there stuck in just this car.... My cyclone wont be getting updated (I dont want to buy another if it comes out)

I'm sure with the U.S economy almost at a stand still, and the overpriced route TC manufactures have taken, the Pro-10 class is going to be a hit! As long as we dont see $300 for a kit, this will be one of those "right products at the right time". Funny thing is that there are many more 200mm bodies already out there that actually look like "real" race cars, and that is appealing to me. Low maintenance, easy to set-up, can be made fast on the cheap, I'm there!

all the cars will have to come out sub 300 otherwise what's the point... might as well run off-road seeing how even the top line kits are $250.

I am looking to cost cut on the car now. If i was to equip the car with all the upgrades as my 1/12th car has then we would be looking at a $299.99 price tag. I want to cut costs to keep it at the same price as my 1/12th at
$250.00. The carbon fiber cost is much higher on this car as opposed to the 1/12th due to the size. It is almost double. So i will need to lose some of the expense elsewhere to keep the price down. I will offer the super high end parts from the 1/12th as upgrades but i need to find areas to keep price down.

I will get it mounted up tonight and take a pic. Maybe i can make a locator tray for the car to allow it to run the stick pack. It wont be the ideal layout but at least you will be able to run it.

wait, so Pro10 is longer lasting than 1/12 motors, and tires wise? i think pan cars are very traditional, but still pull the fastest laps, and are definitely the most fun imo.

is there anyway your BMI Pro10 could have a stronger (heavier)/commodity pod plate set? that might be one way to save costs and to increase the strenght of the platform. just this last weekend i bent up my DB12R pod very nice after a big off at 360 Speedway in a 19T Amain. the car is nearly a write off.

my first real RC car was a RC10L in '91 and I knew that I hit stuff big time. i would recommend making that pod a lot stronger. i would also recommend adding an angled piece of carbon fibre at the rear pod to be a 1) spur protector; 2) prevent machines from getting suck into your read pod. the piece i had on my 10L was made by HPI. i used to also mount my protoform peugeot 905 detached wing to this mount w/ piano wire.

The pod has been made as strong as possible without adding alot of weight. We wanted to keep the weight down with the heavy weight of the electronics. I will see if there is a way to strenghten it more without adding weight. Our pod is pretty much the strongest i have seen on any of todays cars but i will see if we can get some more strength out of it. Crashes are hard to predict. Especially big ones and off angle shots. I will see if i can simulate these style crashes to see what i can do.
