One suggestion... Can you add two radio buttons to select between mm / inches? The the tire diameters could be specified in inches, and the Speed in MPH. Lots of people in the States still talk about rollouts in inches. I'd love to get this on a Dell Axim X51v (VGA resolution) Intel PXA270 processor (Strong ARM), running Windows Mobile 5.0 (WinCE 5.0).

Is the T2 008 you have listed the EURO Spec? I thought the US Foam Spec was a 1.7 ratio. Any progress with the windows mobile version? It would be awesome to be able to access this right at the track on my phone. I also am looking for an old post that some one had a rc program for setup and other things on a pda.

Basically, rollout is the amount the car will move for one revolution of the motor shaft. It takes in to account gear ratio(s) and tire diameter. It is obviously easier to calculate this for a 1/12 scale car (direct drive) than for a touring car, since you also have the pulley ratios to contend with on a TC. Rollout is used to help determine correct (or optimum) gearing for a given track / motor / tire size combination.

I have an Excel spreadsheet that I imported via documents to go to my palm. You would need Palm OS to use it. From the sheet, you change your starting pinion, your starting spur (autofills the next 12), internal ratio and tire diameter and it spits out a nice table with:

Distance from Center of Pinion to Center of Spur.
Gear Ratio
Internal Ratio
Final Drive Ratio
Rollout in Inches
Rollout in Millimeters

(for each pinion)

If you want a copy, let me know.

Also i have split the program from the .Net Framework so if you are already using my program you will only have the Offline Rollout Calculator in one zip and the .Net Framework in another zip which you can download separately. (Thanks Killer)

To download the update refer to my first post or click here

If you have any errors click here to download the .Net Framework

Just wondering does anyone still use the program if they do i will continue updating it and make it better, i have a new idea for the whole thing taking into account all your feedback and suggestions and will also make a Windows Mobile version of the program (Now having a Samsung Omnia to test it on )

Let me know guys
