Is it dangerous to handle lead weights?

with all this talk with the matel toy recall. wouldnt that mean handling the pure lead weights we use in this hobby be even more dangerous?

Just wash your hands after use. As the Inspector said, don't eat lead. Remember that Simpsons episode when actor Troy McLure says "Lead Paint: Delicious but Deadly!"

most weights now are tin based, so less lead than before....

so no need to worry about ya knob falling off.

handle them safely, but if you are concerned, shrink wrap them then sticky tape them on..

Stock up on lead weights while you can! Zinc weights are huge.
