Looks awesome! However...

Open gear cases? Yikes! I like the metal front/Delrin rear outdrives...Good idea.

That transmission looks silly free! Probably big $$ but Tamiyas are defintly worth the dough...

Default $$

Actually they plan to make it right aroung 300$ alot less than the 415 is what i heard. and i am pretty sure there will be an optional diff case included that would be crazy if the didnt. and oh yeeeah that will be a fre a** drive train but the pro 4 has a really free drive train also. that is one tough desicion to make i bet.

Shane carries them at Fastlane. Spurs and pinions. Definetly reccomend giving them a try.

I will have to check them out this weekend. Will the spurs work with robinson racing pinions?

Question for Crash and Doug Gaut:

Im building my shopping list for my pro 4. I've got all the extra parts and a ball diff in there so far. I just need to know what tires guys are running at fastlane and also what gearing to run there. I'll either run a monster stock or a 10T mod of some sort. Need gearing suggestions for both please. Thanks

HeY!!!

Actually the Barracuda's have open transmission and i know someone who has one, and he likes it and it's the same as one w/ a case.... the cars w/ a diff case get just as dirty as the ones w/out he said...

I have never had my car up there yet so I am not sure. When I ran there last year with my Losi I ran Sorex 36s. Gearing wise I was in the 7.75-7.50 range. I think that a 6.20 to 6.50 might work for stock. I have never ran stock on that track. I was worried about falling asleep on the backstretch.

I would get a gear plate and run the oneway if possible. The diff will make the car push pretty bad and on that track there is only one corner to worry about with the oneway. I might try some antidive if the car gets loose at the end of the backstretch. Its an easy adjustment to make.

Sorex 36's, ok. Oh and whats the internal gear ratio on the pro 4? Or at least what page of this thread is it on? I was just gonna get the diff for running on the carpet track, I never did too well with a one way in there with my pro 3. Can I get the gear plate at speedtech or tower? Cause those are the places Im going for the other stuff so I'd like to keep it to as few shipping charges as possible

BTW, yeah that backstretch does get awful long with a stock hehe.

I know that HPI has a plate coming out soon but as far as I know PRP is the only way you will get one before this coming weekend. Here is a link to PRP. Ben will get it out quick and you should have it before Friday easily. I got mine in four days mail and I think Bear got his in three days.

O yea, internal ratio is 2.4375.

Both the PRP and the HPI backing plate should do their jobs.

Though I'd go for the lighter one for racing purposes or none at all since I personally haven't had any problems with the oneway ring gear.
