2008 Roar Nationals

We are still waiting on the EXCOM. I chatted with Dawn a few days ago, and they were getting together to talk about the BID's.
I can tell you, for the Carpet Race, the top 3 from our committee were .. and in no paticular order.
The Gate
Thunder RC < Boylan
Hobbyplex
We will see how it goes. I would hate to see the race go to a track just becuase it is in the home state of the president.

Food for thought -
My vote would be Mike's Hobby Shop in Carrollton or the Plex in Omaha.
Cleveland already has 2 big races a year (Halloween Classic and Indoor Champs) and Florida has the Snowbirds - this would break it up and allow a national level race to be held in middle America....

Ohio Florida or Nebraska?
i would so rather go to texas.....
weak
p.s. unlike other races ie birds vegas, Roar races are more relaxed, get out of the track at 6pm and there is actually time to do things, make it somewhere at least nice, and a place where there is something to do, not trying to complain or anything but i pretty much use the races as my semi vacations and like to have as much fun as i can.

I race at Mike's and it a great facility but if its down to three other tracks PICK OMAHA'S HOBBYPLEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have a great facility too centrally localed for everyone in the states, they have held races several times a year with 100+ entries, super staff that races and knows what racers want. The hobbyshop is fully stocked. Hotels, food (Taco Johns), a Walmart just down the street for those last minute pit towels and part favors. HobbyPlex would be the best pick and here's another reason why -

Seems like a year would have been enough time to figure out where the 2008 races are going to be.
Maybe they still have not got the bids they want.

So, the tracks that played by the rules get screwed?
