Well, Daytona's a different week this time, so I can't go to the shootout and talk junk to all the fans face to face, gotta vent my Hendrick hatred somewhere, LOL.

Hey guys... yea the dates will be a little different for the racing at Daytona. Rumor here in FLA is the 500 race is being moved to November now. But we might be able to get some Nascar guys this year which is cool!

Something exciting just a mile from the track is Disney's Old Town. Friday and Saturday are rockin' there. Maybe a new tradition for everyone to have some fun off premises.

Now I just read that the 500 is staying in FEB. ... we will see - I hope. Anyone catch the road race at Daytona this week. I was there and saw some laps - real cool. Jimmy Johnson had his Lowe's grand am car racing:

The 400 was outstanding tonight. One of the best in a long time!!! That makes me want to race some RC Sunday real bad!!!! What a photo finish!

Hey Mike, I've asked twice with no " offical " answer. What are the chances of having a F1 class this year. I know there are several guys just around my area that attend the birds each year and would run F1 if you had a class.

thanks,
Heath Mahar

Concerning the F1 class...

I believe there are 2 1/10 scale cars out there 2WD and 4WD.
2WD: Tamiya old F103, the new F103GT, Thunder Tiger ( not sure ) and MLPs stable of F1s. I think theer was a Cross F1 car also...
4WD:Tamiya F201 and that kit also had some really great after market parts from 3Racing, Tobee and GPM...

I would like to see a F1 class but don't thing there would be enough people to run in it. Maybe an exhibition type race during the mains.....

Hey Nova F1 you are correct, F1 racers are kind of like fans of the rocky horror picture show... you know they are out there but ya just don't know who they are. I drive for Hyperdrive and thaey build a excellent F1 car, its not advertised and not on their web site but you can get one, also you have HPI that I believe is still selling whats left of their stock of the cars, and corally is also still selling cars and supposed to have a new F1 chassis out later this year, MLP is making a come back after the owner Marty Peterson had some serious health problems and damage to his shop. We are running a F1 series now and have around 20 drivers in it not to mention the straglers here and there. I believe the support is there for a class at the birds and a class of F1 at a race of this caliber might just help the industry realize this is not a dying class and give companies the push it needs to continue to produce these cars. Thanks to everyone for your input on this.
