Default Silver Can (Mabuchi) Motor Tricks

I just was at the TCS race at Trackside in Wisconsin and I raced in GT-3. My car was handling well but my motor wasn't tuned nearly as good as some of the guys. I have and use Comm Drops...Any tips on making these motors fast. I have heard about dipping in water but not to sure???

Thanks
