Warpspeed crew- Good job on the TC3 chassis. I don't run the car but a friend of mine had it yesterday and it's a great improvement to the car. The chassis shouldn't tweak from the motor heat in the hotter weather. Stiff as hell and everything is flipped. Good job guys coming from a DIE HARD LOSI racer.

James- The Losi was the TQ though See you for the next points race. I may have to tune a stocker for Ling the next time around though.

Default Warpspeed Setups

When setting up the Warpspeed Demon conversion have you been finding that it sets up similarly to the TC3 setups or are they different. In other words, if you had a great asphalt or carpet setup in your TC3 would it work just as good or at least similar to the way it did the Demon?
Thanks

Default TC3 setups

Here is the setup I ran at Speedline Hobbies for the Florida state series race #2. Joe's track is extremely high bite asphalt.
rear tower up front
camber links inner/upper hole f&r
front shocks in middle hole in tower & outer on arm
blue springs & 40 wt with #2 piston
rear shocks in outer hole in tower & outer hole on arm
gold springs & 40 wt with #2 piston
nitro rack and a 2mm spacer under ball stud on spindle (for steering, not camber)
0 deg kick up
r+3+2 in rear
rear hubs forward
stock swaybars f&r
locked diff (turn up the throttle trim so it rolls)
1.5 deg camber front
2.5 deg camber rear
5.5 droop f&r
5mm ride height f&r
0 toe in front
ultras with monster stock
stratus 2.0
sorex 36r's on proline wheels with red takeoff inserts and paragon sauce
this setup was great. I am an average driver at best and was able to run lap times within .3 of the fastest all weekend. Good luck and have fun.

Sigearhead - yes, the setups for TC3 are fairly similar for the Warpspeed chassis.
STLNLST - will appreciate some more motor. That's why I should stick with mod. Wheres my 3rd place plaque? 8P

My first race with the Warpspeed chassis was very good at Speedworld. On Asphalt, the chassis was very balanced and predictable.

My Asphalt setup:
Front:
0 kickup
2 castor
stock steering rack
blue springs
rear shock tower middle hole
out arm mount
camber link upper and outer
Swaybar
1-way
Rear:
R+3+2
silver springs
middle hole tower, outer hole arm
camber link up and in
swaybar

Muffin/Mr.Warpeed, is the TC3 lighter after converting it to the demon? If so, do you know how much?

I KNOW YOU DIDNT ASK ME BUT I CAN TELL YOU THIS. MINE DOES SEEM TO BE A BIT LIGHTER ALTHOUGH THAT ISNT THE REAL ADVANTAGE. THE WEIGHT IS NOW IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES. THE CAR IS MUCH MORE BALANCED AND THE SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENTS ARE AMPLIFIED AND MORE OBVIOUS BECAUSE THE CHASSIS IS DOING ITS JOB AND NOT FLEXING.

Sounds good and thanks KING1. I like how the batteries are on the opposite side now as my track runs clockwise with a huge sweeper. I'm convinced on buying the demon kit.

HARLEY,

CHANGING TO A REAR TOWER UP FRONT AND USING THE V-II A-ARMS JUST GIVES YOU DIFFERENT ADJUSTABILITY. I THINK MOST PEOPLE ARE JUST USING WHAT SOMEBODY TOLD THEM TO USE OR A SETUP THEY READ ABOUT IN A MAGAZINE. THE BEST THING TO DO IS SPEND A LITTLE TIME WITH THE CAR AND FIND OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOU AT YOUR TRACK. WITH A LITTLE TIME I GOT THE BOX STOCK FACTORY TEAM SETUP TO HANDLE LIKE A DREAM WITH JUST DROOP SETTINGS AND OIL CHANGES. KNOWING WHEN AND HOW TO USE DROOP SETTINGS IS SOMETHING THAT WILL GIVE YOU A MASSIVE EDGE OVER MOST OF THE GUYS YOU RACE AGAINST. I THINK ALL OF YOU RACERS CAN BACK ME ON THAT ONE.
