??? are asking if you should buy a ssg to convert to rayspeed or use the cgm to convert, i don't think there will be any performance difference. the cgm and ssg are the same except for the platform, (chassis)

The steering setup is also different, shock towers, and if you purchace the rayspeed, you don't get all the graphite parts.

if i'm not wrong the rayspeed chassi is lightweight and the kit also includes a different aluminum motor mount......

so it isn't pricey, it's just another option.....

One other thing with the SDW that i found slightly annoying is that the battery strap is quite pathetic and when looking at pics of the cars from the worlds they all had 3 posts holding the strap down but with the SDW you only get 2. Rick

Try this CGM. Very, very cheap. I've seen this car and it's in pretty cherry condition . The guy that races it is in the expert class @ my LHS. Which basically means, its well taken care for.

With the price his asking for, you can't go wrong. I've had the SD and I coverted it over to the RAYSPEED and to be honest with you, there was no difference (the RAYSPEED only LOOKS prettier). Tek Nickal has a good point, your going to spend well over $450 buy getting a Yok kit and doing all of those conversion. You minus well get the "555" . But try the CGM, I think you'll be very happy with it.
