Slave motor on a CETD45
I know CE recommend a bb 24 turn motor, has anyone used anything else with any success? Anyone have a part reference for the new backlit screens CE are using?

Check with a couple of the motor builders on here such as Curtis at DC (he has my old TD45). He might be able to wind one for you or recomend an arm.
Also Eddie at Brood uses the TD45 and should be able to help out.
lastly I believe you can use a Trinity spec motor armature (23 turn I think) in the original can. You just need to make sure you are at zero degrees timing.
Good luck,
Greg

Your best bet for anything competition eletronics is to just call them. Jim is a great guy and can answer any questions you may have, and you can send there units back to them for repair and upgrades. They have awesome customer service. And the best equipment out there.

Peter @ Team Br00d recently wound some new arms for me and they are working great.
I actually switched over to a Reedy can w/laydown hoods as an experiment and it seems like my slave is lasting a bit longer between re-builds now, and the results are just as consistent as they were with the original can that came with the TD.

Thanks guys. Any ideas on the backlit screens?

Just send CE and e-mail. Jim will get right back to you. I think the backlight screen is $50.00 installed. You will have to send your unit to them for this mod.
