Default Topdeck

Ed, that topdeck sure looks thin between the batt terminal and the servo horn! I run my car also with no uprights, but was experimenting one night and installed the uprights and that is where my topdeck broke. Be carefull!

It happened to me the other day in that same thin area, im running lipos that have the wires coming out of the top of the pack and you need to open that area up on the top deck, i see some lipos have the leads coming out from the side, that would be better for us so we could leave the top deck with more thickness in that area.
We have got state titles on this weekend with a few JRXS Rs running, makes a change from only having one Losi running at a meet.

Shell's generally a Speed6 LWT, although it's a little beefed up with some internal bracing, and fender mender on the front arches... thankfully it's gonna be able to see out the season!
I never thought of using one big fan like that... Going to buy one right now!

Anyway there must be some trick in your setup as my car has lighter gear but weighs more. Possible your electronics are lighter than you think.

You need to have a close look at packs before you buy em. Packs with bullet plugs right on the very edge of the battery like SMC will work better. Packs like the reedy's have them a long way inboard so you have problems. IP's are somewhere in between.

Just noticed Horizon Hobby re-posted the old vid for the Type R earlier this month.

Great result by Mr. Delves this weekend. I watched him and he was flying! Ed, we'd like to see a setup please!

That's it now for my Nationals season with the XRAY, looking at a top 30 place overall, I'll be very happy with that!

I have to make the decision now on what to race over the winter and into next season. Probably the Losi as it's so much quicker on carpet.

I am getting really excited for our carpet season to start up again and dust off the Type R.

So excited, I bought another. This one came with short arms on it. Would they be out of the question on a rubber tire car?

Which Thunder Powers are you running Dragon? No work needed to top brace with this right?

That was my problem, I was running a reedy 5000 and the bullets were to close and had to dremel to much material away on the topdeck. Now that I got a new topdeck, I also got a new lipo that has the bullets very close to the edge so there was no need to dremel that area this time
