I have a friend who is runnnig mamba max esc with Novak 3.5 motor. I really wonder how he does it? The way that you replied, it seems that it is not possible because the software is still under development

Remember it won't run the Novak stuff perfectly but it does run them and until it is perfect Castle will not promote using the Mamba Max with the Novak motors. Once it works 100% properly then you will see Joe and Castle promoting its use with Sensored motors.

The Mamba Max will run the Novak motor but not perfectly. People have done it but when the software upgrade comes out it will make running sensored motors run smoothly. At this time it does run sensored motors but not smoothly or correctly like Castle would like so they will not promote the Mamba Max to run sensored motors til they have a program that runs them smoothly and correctly. Once this happens and its tested then Joe will post about it being avialabilty.

Nothing against Castle but I need to run a 13.5 motor to class race a BL at a local asphalt track and I have 3 Mambas and wanted to at least be able to run a Castle ESC. I may try the 13.5 with the MM ESC...
Is there any non sensored Motors I can run in the 13.5 class that I could try with the MM ESC....you guys dont want me to have to buy a Novak do you??

tips on cooling
come on guys i know we are worried about our mambas reaching max temperature both motor and speedcontrol i know 1 way is to use a fan any other ways.
i was thinking of cutting a hole in the windscreen any other gestures also i run a cyclone.

You could do that just ike the nitro racers but I think the place where you put the fan determines the temperature of your esc and motor. If you place it in front of the esc towareds the front it should have enough fresh air to cool both. ALso I check my drivetrain if it is running smooth enough.

Also, have you tried the MM with the Trinity N60 Brushless motor? I heard that the N60 motor is wound in a way the MM doesnt work well with? Also, what about the Orion 3.5 Vortex BL motors- does the MM work nicely with them?
