Can anyone explain the Final Gear Ratio chart in my Cero Sport 55 Manual. I think I got my final gear ratio and final drive ratio confused. I ordered a bunch of spur gears ranging from 72t up to 76t to go with a 18t pinion. This was I thought to achieve a 7.6 final drive ratio (and above) for modified touring (4.5t motor) but I now realise the chart shows final gear ratio, so i think I’ve ordered the wrong spurs and pinion.

The other issue is the gear ratio states for a 72t spur and 18t pinion doesn’t match when I do the calculation. It’s saying 7.6 in the book but 4 when I divide the spur by the pinion.

Youre fine ....
FDR = Spur * 1.90 (drive train gear ratio) / pinion
72*1.90/18 = 7.6

Its just their print/wording

Mick, don't be fooled by Marcos pic, that is not a stock Sport 55, you will need at least metal hubs on all four corners, and the ball studs on the diff covers pull out easy, might want to get longer ones. Read the past posts on issues with the sport.

When you say metal hubs what are you referring to?

Also, the ball studs, based on reading previous posts, they broke off because they were loose. Someone suggested some threadlock would solve it. Do they go into aluminum?

Marcos car is a sport, with minor modifications that everyone chooses to upgrade to for better durability. You can run the sport out of the box, no problem, as long as you don't hit anything. If you're like me and hit things, grab 4 of these knuckles and you're set. They're aluminum, use purple loctite on the ball studs, make sure they're screwed in all the way and you won't have any issues.

I had a bit of a tumble a few weeks ago and the screw the screw and bearing popped out of my steering bridge. I reassembled and it appeared to be fine but as a back up I went to order a replacement and noticed that the V2 has an updated steering bridge and appears they switched to a larger bearing on the bridge?

There isn't one carpet season is basically over so I wouldn't expect one. Hopefully by next carpet season they'll be one or maybe an update or completely new car 😎😎😎

You do realise that some places run carpet all year round? And that different hemispheres have different seasons?
