I don't think this chassis is a copy. Yes it has double wishbone suspension that was introduced in the 1930's but a copy - no. A copy is - right click copy then click paste. A good designer studies all the competitors in great detail then tries to come up with ways to make it better. I'm sure that the designer would be quite insulted to be accused of copying. Pride gets in the way of copying most of the time. 3Racing has a long history of innovation as well - they had short shocks on a TC before Xray did for example. Sorry - all the copying talk in RC is hitting a nerve LOL.

I really like what the owner of 3racing is doing; he's openly showing prototype parts, and all his CAD on facebook during the development process.
Not only is this exciting to follow, I'm sure he's open to suggestions as well for features. You can sense that he's a true enthusiast

The RC industry needs more memes and comedy. The resemblance to the Mugen is undoubtable. But a dozen cars the last 5 years resemble T4’s. Resemblance is common in RC. Still funny.

Im stoked to see it complete. My dad runs a 3racing car because he doesn’t need a $700+ sedan. If it wasn’t for cheap sedans he wouldn’t have one. Plus I’m interested in the shock mount mounting only on the bulkhead vs the mugen mounting to the chassis and bulkhead. Doubt this style would allow for the mugen style option shock tower though

I still have the original Sakura Zero from 2010. It was innovative at that time with short springs/shocks and bulkheads pinned to the chassis. Excited to see this new Sakura Cero.

I’m very curious how much of the mugen style geometry it has and if they’ll have similar springs. Hopefully so, Mugens need more spring choices.

Default Shipping date?

Does anyone know when the Cero Ultra will start shipping? When will it be released?

I don't know but this one just looks like it's going to be a lot of fun to race and tune for a wide variety of racing conditions with a non-insane price point (assumed).

Exactly... This thought process has me rethinking the purchase of an A800MMX...

A800MMX, 3Racing Cero Ultra 2022. Definitely an apple and an orange.

We don't really know yet what it is... It's very MTC2 and that's a great car.

I believe that comment was more based on price (and maybe reputation of both manufacturers) than on the actual car.

I'm starting to drool actually. Even though most manufactures are releasing pretty sexy cars these days, this is the only one giving you something new and really significant to play with - 4 different motor positions on a modern TC design (plus the ability to run it as a fronti FWD TC).

What's everyone's best guess for release date?
I'd say absolute earliest summer, more likely end of the year or even '23 if they test it out.
That's a long time to be waiting
