futureal: i must agree with SirSpeedy .... its still the same car so maybe we should just merge this with the existing XXXS topic. they're also talking about the GP there anyway ....

Jesse....start with PL's setup from the carpet nats last year with High Roll Centers. This is really close to what Jucha and I are running. I ran the off set rear end in the main sunday and the car was better also Im running the 1deg rear toe blocks for 3deg total per side.

Default Screws

OK - I have run the car with kit screws, stainless, and aluminum screws... on all different surfaces, rough driving, clean driving.... never broke an aluminum screw yet... the way the car is laid out - there's no oneplace on the car which will take a ton or stress... most screws are doubled up...

I would also have to agree that there doesn't need to be a second thread for a car... ITS THE SAME CAR!! different rear arms and hubs... nothing special guys!!

But a question.

Do you use the tapping screw for every screw that goes in?

Eg i havent seen it so please bear with me is it a quite fine thread or course thread and do you use it for tapping fine screws if its a course tapping screw.

Thanks for ya help but am getting a bit confused when reading ya postes.

Thanks Ryan
Don't use the gold tapping screw on the small holes that hold the belt cover in place at the bottom. These are not 4-40 sized screws. They are smaller. You'll know when you build your kit.

We'll let this thread go for a little longer, if it doesn't die off on its own, it can be assimilated into the larger one.

Resistance is futile!
