I want a TOP again.
I use now a Xray FK05 that i borrowt from an other club member.
I cant reach the same lap times as what i drove with the TOP.
My HB, T2'007 and the FK05 where al fast but they stay 0,1 till 0,2 sec slower each lap.
So when i have som money it will be the TOP again.
For me the best car.

I never had anny big problems with my diff. I will keep the original one.
Don't use the diff plates of an tamiya. They will fit but they are not verry good.
Get the yokomo's. They are much better.
I used xray diff balls. worked verry well for me.

Default ARP / CFP - Not Scythe anymore

Hi guys,

The new alloy version of Scythe is now called T.O.P. Racing ARP (Asphalt Rubber Pro Touring Machine) or CFP (Carpet Foam Pro Touring Machine), not Scythe. There is quite an improvement in ARP/CFP in terms of outer packaging and instruction manual.

The name "Scythe" is now only available as a standard kit with plastic bulkheads, etc..

Thanks for clearing that up.

EJ, I need to know where to get the shock rebuild kit for the shocks on that came ith the yokomo shocks. What you asked me had already been done to the car. I just need to replace the o-rings in the shocks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Carlos,

You talking about these o-rings?

If so shoot me your address and I'll get some out to you.

I generally rebuild my shocks using the green o-rings. I'm not sure if they are the 30 or 40 degree but I'll check.

Default ARP and CFP

Just to clarify some differences between the Scythe kit (old) and the new ARP (Asphalt Racing Pro) / CFP (Carpet Flex Pro):

ARP and CFP:

Still uses HB suspension, but now come with carbon fiber arms
New bulkheads for easier accessibility to the diffs
New upper deck (CFP version comes with wings)
Bigger 17 tooth center pulley
Bigger 37 tooth outer pulley (ARP only)
US Spec Chassis
Front Spool (ARP only)
Front Diff (CFP only)
Version 2 universals (Bigger pins)
Version 2 aluminum rear universals (Red)

Posted this because a few people were asking me the differences.

Like always you can ask questions here, or email me.

Default IIC Video

HKS Hobby posted a video of my practice run.

If I knew they were filming I would have tightened up my lines.

Just built the ARP-Scythe with Carpet-conversion. Builds like a dream, shakedown was pretty impressive today on a outdoor-track, out of the box the car was very predictable and stable; next week the first bite on carpet.

greetz,

Eric

greetz,

Nice looking ride Eric!

The carpet version (CFP) comes with 33/17 tooth pulleys. I actually prefer the 37/17 (comes with the ARP) and use a Tamiya pulley in the rear (you can purchase the 37/17 drive train). I'll post some pics within the next couple days.
