Buggy chassis flex?

Buggy chassis flex?
I race on oxide carpet and am thinking about getting a 22 3.0. Most people run a lay down at my club. The tlr laydown costs $180 or I could get a $80 exotek lay down tranny that is aluminium. So my question is: the aluminium lay down would stiffen the chassis more than the tlr one. Would I want a stiffer chassis for high grip or a more flexible one? Thanks.

Why not get a kit specifically designed for carpet?

I run the tlr laydown conversion and it feels great on carpet, traction rolls are almost non-existent. There isn't very much flex with the laydown chassis but you can still get the stiffer mud guards, aluminum servo mounts and also the new x factory rear brace, if you want to go stiffer. I only use the laydown and aluminum servo mounts and it feels pretty good.

Too many varables to be an exact science. See what others have that is working.
