Stock setup aside from 5k in the rear diff since it's so easy to change out fluids. This is a very Maintenance friendly kit, four screws for any diff? Can't beat it. I'll take it to the track in the morning and run it in and see what I like and down like, was planning on doing it today but didn't feel like rushing to get it built.

Gratuitous pic with its big and little brothers (mbx6 will be replaced by a b3.1e when it hits the store).

People are fickle. It's a great car, no complaints. Harder you drive it, the better it is and so easy to work on.

This. I've got a grand total of 10 packs through mine today and it runs within .3 of my 1/8 scale. The car just goes, stops, and turns like a mad man. I did break a front a arm but that one was all my fault trying to coax a fast lap out of it too soon while figuring out how it wants to be driven and I hit the cement wall at Indy in the air at 45 degrees. Took all of 4 minutes to replace and be back on the track.

Shop driver there frequently clicks off laps faster than the TQ pace that was set for 1/8 scale open at the icebreaker with the box stock setup. The car is freakin fast, reliable unless you do something violent (still not an 1/8 scale, what do you expect) and probably the easiest 4wd I've ever worked on.

People like to get and try new stuff and sometimes just move on.

This is my favorite RC car I've ever owned, from driving to wrenching

I still have 1 but I sold my spare. For me the B64 has a lot going for it but overall I'm much more consistent with my 22-4 2.0s. On a race by race basis, for me, the 22-4 2.0 is faster but lap for lap my fast laps are identical. In my opinion the TLR feels better. I'm a total TLR hater and I want to love the B64D but I don't. AE is pretty good about updates and I'm sure that they'll eventually catch up. The B64 is a solid car but I think they still have some work to do in order to perfect it. It is the easiest 4x4 buggy to work on that was ever built. For now that's its best quality.

What do the optional caster blocks do in regards to handling & what types of tracks would each add performance?

i don't race the class, but i marshal that class alot. on carpet those B64 cars seem to break alot especially the front and rear gear boxes. many racers who have never raced 4wd and may have issues driving and maintaining a 4wd. due to the B64. imo, AE has boosted the 4wd class no matter what car you favor. not going to start a flame war with brands, some drivers have gone back to previous brands, some have switched, but overall majority of them are sticking with their B64 cars and love them, while still hoping AE will improve the parts on the car.

Another reason is that many 1/10 racers only race indoors in winter. They can sell their new-ish cars for top dollar now and replace them next fall.

We'll see... I'm definitely waiting to hear the news on it... but my 64 was running great last time I was out...

And on a side note.... this might be an obvious to most but the front arms aren't side specific...

lol I was just messin' around. I think the one thing I would love to have on any buggy is the ease of access that you guys have to the differentials with the b64. My d413 is easier now with a split center diff but still, it takes me a bit if I want to change fluids.

I'm having an issue with my build.

The front and rear differentials moves freely without any restrictions and so doesn't the center. However, when I install the dogbones and push down the center diff in place, the dogbones only go 3/4 turn and then gets stuck. I can't figure the life out of me of what's going on.

it definitely looks like the dogbones are the cause. They seem to be jamming the center diff on either side.
