My B5M lite was missing the steering rack and my B6 was missing hat bushings for the front end. The 8 AE kits before that were fine. I guess I'm just sensitive because it's 82 miles each way to the track for me.

i agree partially...i usually buy my cars online but get stuff like tires and batteries and consumables from the LHS. with a limited budget i simply cannot afford to buy a new car and parts all from the LHS. if i buy a used car then should i expect the LHS to carry parts for my obselete car that he might get stuck with and not be able to sell??

I agree but i can support only my LHS for parts and raced but if i buy new kit never buy from LHS once when i was knew this hobby but when i heard other racer its cheaper in online since then never buy in my LHS. It's true by online save a lot compare to my LHS. Also in towerhobbies best rc shopping online when your membership.

Have you ever asked your LHS for a deal? Maybe free practice and racing with a kit purchase?

Note, item must be in stock to qualify for tower cash.

If they keep tower cash like they have now, it would be $12 per $100 for amounts actually paid. So after discount, the vehicle is in the $300-ish range, you would get another $36 to use for tower cash.
When i click on the car & pre-order, get to cart & enter code it doesnt take off anything

There is very little profit margin in kits. Tower is likely losing money on these kits. The promotion is designed around the hope that you spend that $71 you saved (or much more) on higher margin items to go along with the kit.

If the LHS has a track, giving away track time is often useful to sell goods (tires, motors, parts, etc.), so that can work out well.

Either way, i know AE does not make a 12mm 2.2 wheel. Yet.
Yes, 12mm hex. I found them when searching for 2.2 race wheels to fit a Redcat car. I installed Associated 12mm locking hexes on the steering axles and needed a wheel. Having achieved that, I tried installing 12mm hexes on my B44.3, using these wheels, it fit fine.

For some of those codes you have to be a member. It will catch it when it asks for an email address. Iv been a member since it came out. Can't even remember that far back. Best $9.99 a year Ive spent.

Coupon code promotion (011AX - SAVE $71) will be applied when the total dollar amount of items shipped from this order reach the required $399.00. In other words, the $71 discount will be deducted from the back order shipment that puts the total dollars at $399.00 in merchandise shipped.

My closest LHS is a 40min drive one way, and specializes in trains. They have barely anything R/C, but will order stuff with money down. So 2 80min drives and atleast a weeks wait vs never leaving my house and having parts in 3 days for less money with Tower. That hobbyshop has nothing to do with the local track and I have talked to them about stocking some more stuff and they are not interested. Tower is my LHS.

Too bad we can't pre-order from Associated directly.

As for the kit, my single biggest wish is that the front arms are stronger than the 44.3 without having to get RPM arms
