A personal attack was not called for there buddy.

Maybe my memory is foggy, being that I was a 13 year old kid racing back then, but in my backwoods hick area where I grew up when a bigger sponsored racer (not talking about the local guy who owned a comm lathe and gave some hookups or something like that) came to any of the the tracks I raced at in the midwest, they would not be seen racing stock.

Like I said, stock brings out the worst in people.

I don't really see calling someones post "ignorant" as a personal attack. Especially when they post information that clearly shows the inaccuracy of your statement.

This thread needs to stay on the original topic. Which is NOT the never ending "Stock vs. Mod" debate.

Hey Racer, how about a thread dedicated to the debate that is stickied to the top of the forum?

It's because there are people out there that have convinced themselves that it takes more "skill" to drive a slower car. Which is nonsense to me.
