Doubtful. The old truck MAP was $429 without a body. Prolly will come with wheels, like the old truck did.

This is essentially a 1/8 scale 4wd which means it'll be a tank. It's not going to be listed at $300. We'll see what it actually sells for.

All 8th scale based sct are around $400. I don't see it any cheaper than Tekno.

I'm not a fan of 1/8 scale thanks to the local crowd but I do think making the new SCT 1/8 scale based is the correct way to go. I'm curious to see if they come out with a 2WD SCT in the future and if it'll be the first to follow the 1/8 design trend in terms of durability in 2WD. People may or may not agree with Durango's decision to no longer sponsor pro drivers for a while but the new products that they are releasing certainly show the company moving in the right direction. It's now up to them to keep parts availability up.

I guess we are going to just have to get used to every new Durango thread having someone out there who throws around the stupid line "It looks like an Aarma". *sigh*

That is not necessary a bad thing imo. The Typhoon looks like the best RTR 1/8 buggy and if the new Durango share some parts/features it could be a winner.

Thinking 399.99 would make a nice sweet spot for this truck.

I am curious to see this vehicle as well, and, to see if they make a "12mm" hex setup as an option.

Maybe this will spark a conversion over to 17mm wheel setups fo rmore vehicles.

what is it with Durango......they can never just use a wheel like everyone else....You use 12mm or your buggy or SC we use 14mm or 15mm. you use 12mm sc wheels..we will make it a 1/8 style wheel.

in all fairness, the 17mm size is what Tekno guys have been clamouring for lately, to the point m2C released a conversion. This will help it appears with stripped wheels.

I'm definitely in on this thing. Been driving tekno for years and love it, but this is an impressive looking beast. Gonna have to give it a run when they show up. Looking forward to finding out more details about this thing!

I'm not selling the tekno just yet though...

I always end up buying new wheels and tires when I switch brands anyway. I'm not worried about hex size except I hope DE comes out with a boreggo wheel for it.

They said 5 new vehicles will be coming in 2015 - a new 2wd SCT would be nice aswell.

I hope it has plenty of steering and a good weight balance as well.

I use 12mm hexs with 6mm axles on my SCT410 hold up great so i have a lot of wheels/tires . 17mm however is about the strongest axles you can run on a heavy 4wd SC .

The pivot ball setup on this truck i noticed is going to be interesting the steering should be smooth as butter . Only issue i had with the pivot balls on my Mugen is sometimes they will un tread from the upper arm and you got to spray dry lube on them .

I like the looks of this truck. Hopefully it's a durable truck, unlike it's predecessor. Being able to run a full stick pack is a plus. The composite plastic chassis will definitely keep weight down. I prefer a lighter, more nimble truck. But it's gotta be durable! I'll let others be the guinea pigs. I'm in the market for a new 4x4 SCT, but I'm in no hurry. My first choice is the new Tekno. We'll see if this truck can sway me and change my mind.
