I heard running shorty vertical works great on tight technical tracks, running horizontal probably better for bumpy/rough tracks. Honestly it's all personal preference as what feels comfortable for one person may feel the opposite for another.

It does I seen the car in person it had the same rear ballstud mount as the YZ2.

That's the nice thing about yoks you can mix and match parts from a bunch of different models.

Direct fit but with spacer removed, which is run with the kit part, as it is larger.

Did anybody else have stiff and notchy diffs when first building? I built mine last week and put in 5,000wt in and they have more resistance, and are "grainy", than my BMax with 10,000. I haven't run yet, hopefully they loosen up.

Your question, which is also asked on a forum accross the pond, has been answerd overthere.
But yes, it's normal, it will loosen up when you run the car.

Lol, Yes thank you, I'm the one across the pond asking the same question. Thanks for the reassurance.

Notchy diffs tight belts it will all go away after a couple of packs, they will end up as smooth as butter, and yes you need 1mm spacer when using the ball stup brace other than that direct fit.

I have to say, though the belts are tight, i don't think my Schuey K1A was any looser after assembly. In fact, I think the YZ-4 is the smoothest drive train on a 4wd that i have built in a while. Way better than shaft drive cars.

Gear diffs always have a wear-in period for the gear faces to mate up. My YZ-2 and YZ-4 are the same in that regard.

Sorry for the newbie question but on the servo horn is it supposed to be mounted offset like on the yz2 or mounted straight? pictures are not accurate around the web

Thanks
