I've often questioned using tapes. Unless you buy a ton you are committing to leaving and charging your lipo in your car. My luck I'd nuke my truck in a lipo fire.

anyone using the truck white springs front and rear? im wondering what weight shock oil to use with them?

I tried them at OC/RC and they are too stiff. Going to try green/green with 35/30. White/white will work better on the SC5M.

Ryan used the truck white springs on his T5M during the ROAR natl.'s and I mam going to try them at our next race Nov. 7th indoors high to med bite clay track. And he used 37.5 / 32.5 oil front / rear.

For those of you guys running stock/spec, are you getting close to ROAR minimum at all, or what kind of weight is typical with a shorty and 3 gear?

Nope, nowhere near. 1890 with standard shorty, titanium turnbuckles + screws, 3 gear and Pucks. No idea how the pro's get in the 1700's.

Unless your on uber high grip like he was at SRS, it wont work.

You'd need to mill out your chassis, like the Sticky Licks guy does to get even close. Truck is a pig.

Our track is indoor and is used 4 days or more a week it is kept in very good shape and is always high grip, so it wont hurt to try and wont take long to switch springs if it don't work.

True, was told by a few team drivers yesterday to run Rivkins Stock Nats setup. Going to a super high bite clay track tonight to try it out.

I'm a little behind on this thread. I'm still running Kyosho gold springs. So are the AE SC greens the new hot ticket? FYI I think the new AE springs are made by the same folks that make Kyoshos.....anyway, is green the new gold?

I have white/white truck springs on mine and they seem to be a big improvement over the stock springs at my home track SDRC. However, according to some people they're too stiff so you'll just have to give them a try and see what you think.

Kyosho gold and new AE white are almost identical in spring rates. Kyo slightly softer F front and harder rear. AE Greens are very soft, like old AE Yellow/Grey. Look at the spring rates.

Personally still running the KYO Golds on my T5M.

LOL, my TLR 22T weighs 2043 grams soaking wet. Was debating whether to put it on a diet or switch to a T5M.
