Im at 76/23 running a D4. Had my first race yesterday and took the TQ and win. The SC is very impressive. I started with the kit set up but I was running on a medium bite grooved track so I made the necessary adjustments and it felt pretty good by the end of the day. I was just one lap off my buggy time and would have been closer but I had 2 bobbles.

I also had to trim the bottom of the front body post, its long to allow flexibility for using different bodies.

First race this past weekend and took tq and the win. Car was great except at the end of the main noticed motor temps were higher than usual. All of the rear wheel bearings were either very stiff or ceased. The axle was essentially spinning against the metal of the bearing. I will be replacing all four rear wheel bearings and the two inside the dif case. I realize my track is dusty but last I checked this was an off road kit??!!!

I am using the proline body mount kit from the 22sct. Works great but you do need to trim the length.

Has anyone who runs on a low grip track tried raising the diff position or increasing rear toe in? I am thinking this will be my next adjustment to get more rear traction (already better than my 22).

Just started assembling mine.
Any suggestions or parts that should be replaced while I'm building my SCT?
Saw that people are eating up bearings, would the AVID kit for the SRX2 fit the SCT?
(sorry for the newbishness of that question in advance)

The bearing kit should be the same. I went through my truck yesterday after having 5-6 race days on it and my bearings are still nice and smooth. I'm kinda stumped on that one...

Thanks Jonny5,

I'll stick with the kit bearings for now then.
Wonder what the optional geared differential is best suited for.

Psyched to get this baby together and then on the track!

Gear diffs are generally best suited to high traction- sugar, astro/carpet, sticky clay running slicks, etc.

When you build, make sure that any screw that goes into metal gets cleaned off really well with motor spray/brake cleaner. Particularly the screws and threaded bushings that hold the steering rack together- and give those an extra drop or two of loctite.

Ah crap. Exactly where I left off with the build last night.
Started on bag 3. Not too bad I'll just open the front clip and apply some thread lock in there.

Thanks again Jonny5!

When assembling the transmission, what grease are you guys using and how liberal are you with it. Thanks in advance.

I use a little black grease.

If you didn't clean the steering rack metal parts and screws before applying thread lock go back and redo it as previously mentioned.

Are you talking about the bearing issue that was mentioned on Facebook?

Take a look at the diff build thread when you get a chance.
