And the original body should fit fine or else Exotek would have mentioned it in their product description page. They are very good about adding the necessary details.

From Cain's reported performance using that Exotek Pro 17 chassis, I would definitely recommend it over any of the current chassis upgrades (it's obviously not the most cost effective of the bunch though).

You really shouldn't need to do any extra trimming mate I would however recommend a 3rd party body because I genuinely hated using the stock body because of its assembly lol.

If you want one, I have one as part of an upgrade package for sale (exotek chassis NIB, the carbon chassis parts, NIB ceramic bearings, NIB Lunsford turnbuckles) available. Search my name for it on the for sale section. selling only as my youngeest who is getting the D413 her sister has doesn't need it for what she is going to do lol

i do have, proline bodies, but i was more concerned with finding a chasis protector that fits, cool thing with schelle is that it comes with one. Anyone have any recommendations?

I just buy the cheap clear chassis protectors from jconcepts that come in a pack of two. Then just stick it on your chassis and use an exacto knife to cut around the edges.

for protector I use the same as Ebbtide or I use some 20mil PVC tape that is like $5 for a big role. Its pretty thick. Just heat it up when you apply it so it sticks well.
anyone have a Avid floating servo mount they would want to part with? Order a few parts like Exotek diff cap, 10 degree caster hubs, Schelle racing stretch chasis, aluminum wing mount set and 72t spur gear and mounting plate!
Looking forward to adding these to my HB D413, i wish i could find the Avid aluminum chasis and the floating servo but i cant find any =(

Top Brace and other tuning question
So this weekend I had a pretty subpar performance with my buggy. The track layout had changed, and I had a hard time getting my car hooked up. While waiting for the first race to begin, a fellow racer with a B64D had commented that my car looked pretty “stubby” compared to his. I agree, the wheelbase is certainly a little smaller on mine. There was a washboard section on the track and the buggy was very unstable on this section. I decided to move the spacers on the rear arms all the way to the front to try and extend the wheel base a little bit and gain stability. Not sure if that helped or not, but I think it did as my lap times improved, but I don’t know if I can simply attribute that to more laps on the new layout. It had me thinking though, the Exotec chassis which is longer, does not always use the top decks. My buggy has the original factory length AVID aluminum chassis and I am using the top decks. I’m curious if I remove the top decks if I will gain a little bit more and drivability with the buggy. Has anyone removd the top decks? I know this isn’t something you’d want to do with the stock chassis, but with the aluminum chassis it may be ok?
Also, I was comparing my buggy with that B64D and also noticed the droop on the front of my car was extremely greater than his. I’ve never messed with the droop, and wondering what feedback fellow D413 drivers can provide in regards to shortening the droop. Many thanks for your help.

anyone have a setup for a mid to high bite indoor clay track i havent raced 1/10 4wd car in like 2 yrs?
I just changed all my camber links to the positions shown in setup. I used 2 Allen’s to hold ball cups so they would not try to pop off and or loosen fit. Maybe this can help others. Cheers.
