They were mispackaged. Took them back and got another package. So far loving them compared to the original hb units.

Out of curiosity what's better about them than the stock shocks?

Will these work with the HB shocks?

Seems like it would be easier to use some old shock O-rings instead

A very nice kit indeed, had a couple of hick ups along the way, but nothing serious. Here's how it ended up looking. Planning on posting a complete build blog later this month.

Wow that looks sick, is that a custom orange color or something from a can?

Based on the lack of finish work of the carbon fiber I would say its probably a standard color. It looks to be Spaz Stix Candy Orange

Hi,
The Exotek D413 hexes are made to be flush fit... does the hex set you have has 'D413' laser etched into them?

Thanks for the response. No they don't have D413 on them. I ordered them directly from you guys though. My order number was #25910, if that helps.

Thanks,

You ordered XB4 hexes along with D413 hexes. Looks like you are trying to install XB4 hexes on your D413. Make sure you are installing the hexes laser marked with 'D413' on your D413

Please email or PM me to follow up further if you need, thanks!

Has anyone tried the Proline 1/10th scale shocks on their D413 yet? Always hated the orange anodizing on the shocks. Makes it hard to make bodies look good unless they are orange, black or white. Just wondering if the Proline shocks are the same quality shocks or if there will be a decrease in performance.

It's probably a lot cheaper to just get your aluminum anodized whatever color you want
