Just finished swapping out the stock chassis and losi battery tray for a vorza chassis and battery tray and it looks much cleaner as well as the vorza battery tray is much nicer since it can slide forward and back for weight bias. It's not bad modding the chassis to fit and they only cost like $15

A lot of dremeling. I wanted it as low as possible.
Lowering and freeing up the side pod screw holes. Shortening the screws and plastics also. I used two stock motor mount (short flat) screws in the back. It's somewhat of a pain to get the second one line up.
On the front a long screw secured with nyloc on top. Cut the middle strap retainer near the pinion too.

Just a quick review for those people thinking about trying this car out.
I spent the last 4 years driving a Mugen MBX7 nitro and electric. I had a an early in the year opportunity to take a d812e to the track to get a feel for the car. The car was extremely impressive right away. The car is much more predictable and consistent then my Mugens have been. I felt extremely comfortable and confident with the car. The only downsides (for me) was initial steering was a little aggressive and when pushing for speed, it would get unsettled. I'm pretty sue that was due to the previous owners set up. A little track time and adjusting will get this thing dialed in I really like Mugen, but I think this car will help me improve my results.
For comparison:
Steering D812e gets an 8 MBX7eco gets a 9
Stability D812e gets a 9.5 MBX7eco gets a 7.5
Jumping D812e gets an 8 MBX7eco gets a 9
Landing D812e gets a 10 MBX7eco gets an 8
Not bad for having a bad setup
