Default CRCRC Midwest Coverage

For those of you that view the onroad section of rctech, you'll notice how there is race coverage for the significant races of the year. It would be nice to try and carry that over to offroad races as well. Many of the races do not have track internet available for live coverage, but from all the people who talk to those back home, maybe we can get some coverage going for the off road side as well. Many people like to check up to see if there local racers are running well.

As for CRCRC's midwest race- post what you know here concerning the warm-up race, as well as through the mains on Sunday. I will be at the race, and will try and give updates for someone to post for those intersted. Probably won't be able to get everyone obviously, but at least those in the A mains.

Default Warm-Up Race Update

The track is relatively flat and smooth -- very high-speed -- with no really difficult sections. Fastest lap I remember was a 21.8 by Jesse in qualifying.

As usual, the track retained moisture quite well on its first weekend and we were running almost bald tires all day. If things follow normal, the track will be better able to absorb water by next weekend and the usual drying out/dust will occur, meaning we'll use more pin than last weekend. The very cold temperatures forecast for next weekend could play a part.

Jesse TQed buggy with a majorly dialed car. Dave was the only guy who could stay with him consistantly. Jesse crashed on the first lap and was marshalled out last. Dave motored off.

Paul won 4WD, but there was no competition. With at least 32 entries so far, and a number of sponsored drivers entered, this class will be interesting.

I don't remember much about truck.

No Comp.! Then why didn't Paul TQ?

The guy that Tq'ed has never ran a 4wd before last weekend, with a car he got on like Tues. before the race.

The track doesn't look like one that will seperate the men from the boys as in past years. I did notice where many more entries came in last week.
