Now you're thinking

If there is 1/8th scale in your area - do it...

HB isn't the best designed/made car out there, but for those on a budget or those sponsored by HB, it certainly works.

My personal beef regarding the VE8 is that space is very limited and components are cramped and it is heavy. If you are going to design for cramped, then the car should be light.

My son and I drive Losi 8 2.0 electric and no complaints, I know the AE RCB8E drives nicely, same with the Kyosho (expensive though), there are others as well, I'm sure.

Good luck and get on some of the manufacture/car/component specific threads and read and ask questions.

In an earlier post you said you probably want 1/10th. The VE8 is an 1/8th buggy but if 1/8th is what your looking for there are several options,Caster EX1.5 Pro which is what I drive and am very happy with, the VE8, the Losi, Associated ,Mugen etc. Like hakmazter said all have differences but as far as parts go I have a couple local hobby shops that I go to for some things,Tires shock oils ,etc. But as far as car parts I usually ended up ordering what I needed online because they didnt have what I needed in stock and Caster is good about getting me my parts quickly so online ordering works for me.
