Unhappy Tired of waiting for CC Mamba Max Pro SCT.. Next best Option?

Hey guys,
So I am tired of waiting for the castle creations Mamba Max pro SCT just seems to keep getting pushed back. I called Castle and now they are saying it wont be in to them for at least another month . What would be my next best option close to this combo and around this price range. I was really wanting the 4pole, but not sure what to get now. Its going into a stampede 4x4. I was hoping not to make any mods to the chassis which is why i wasn't going with the 1/8th mamba max.

Thanks for the help!

I wanted the same system, so all i did was grab the CC1410 4-pole 3800kv motor by itself (got one on ebay for $60) and then grab a MMP (around $125)

The only differance with the new MMP SCT system is it comes with a 5mm shaft on the motor..

Or you could just grab the cheaper Sidewinder SCT System (around $100)

Yea i got the sidewinder in my blitz. Looking for something with more power. Is there a big difference in power between the 1410 and the 1415 cans?

Buy a used one or just grab the castle sct sidewinder and 4 pole for under a $100 new and use it for the time being. I'm sure you'll be happy with it for awhile.

It's not priced that low anymore, the price has jumped up. Check out their website and other online sources. It's crazy!! It's like they just realized they were charging too low. LOL!

No I just remembered that , that's not the case. The caseis they use rare earth magnets in the motors and they are in demand , expensive and valuable so price has shot up bc of this.

I didn't want to buy the sidewinder system to get the castle 1410 motor so I bought the MMP and the 4 pole 4000kv motor from ckhobby
http://www.ckhobby.com/shop/?control...ory&path=13_36

$115 for the esc and $40 for the motor and I'm set with an awsome combo

The new system that your waiting from CC is the same as the sidewinder SCT system but comes with a 5mm shaft and a MMP Esc...

The 1415 will make more power then the 1410 if you run 3S or 4S batteries...

Another good option for motor will be the new Tekin Pro4 motors they should be out in the next couple of weeks (they will be very fast)...

And I'll mainly be running 3s. So I'll get the mamba max pro esc. Just gotta find the motor to combo with it. The Tekin is nice too, but have they even give it a release date? I have been watching it for a few months now.

Will the 4600kv run alright in a stampede4x4? Thinking Ill get the 1406 series. Unless that $40 motor from ckhobby is worthy of buying

If all your using is 3S then the Castle SCT system would be the go, but its seems they are hard to get, and with the magnet problem the prices have gone up a fair bit...

Not sure but i think the ckhobby motor might run hot on 3S hey..

Have a look at this Thread there is alot of info about the ckhobby tenshock motors...

i'm a fan of the ckhobby 4 pole motor, but sorry...i'm in the camp that believes that castle esc's are garbage. i'd look into an SC8 or SC10 from hobbywing before i'd go with a castle esc or if you can afford it, a tekin RX8.

this would be a great combo:
motor: http://builtrc.com/tenshock_sc401_4000.aspx

esc: http://www.rc-fans88.com/details.asp?prodid=2651

on 3s that combo would be insane. it would be fast as hell on 2s.
