Got bored today, was working on my JRX-22 hybrid and looked at the old school battery box....whadda ya know

filled the holes (JB weld), drilled and tapped them for smaller screws:

Battery rearward:

Battery forward:

Since I'm using 22 parts on my JRX car, no reason not to return the favor

I see you are in Sioux Falls. Are you coming to the race in Omaha? If so, the Evans setup on green barcodes seems to be a pretty good starting point here.

I spoke with a team driver that was using a similar set up. He told me he was using Losi rear spings cut down. I am not sure if this was good info because even a rear spring cut down does not give the same progressive winding seen in the pics.

Is anyone running the gear diff yet (part # LOSA2954)? I was just curious how it compares to the ball diff?

I run on carpet and ran mine for the first time last Friday.

It was more consistant than the ball and more predictable.

I'm running AE 5000wt as recommended from here

Ive tried all available from 1000-10,000 on low bite to high and I think 5k was best overall

Help needed

I'm running an almost brand new 22 and need to find more traction coming out of a turn. When I give it gas while steering the car is wanting to wash out

I'm running Dustin Evans setup to a T, emulsion shocks, and 9.5 with no boost or timing, geared 23/75. I'm running the right tires for my track and still feels like I'm driving on ice. Also, I'm running a full size lipo

Ive let a few people drive it and they both are amazed at the loss of traction it has. When I was running boost and on a long straight the rear end would get loose and before I knew it I was doing 360's.

Any ideas on what to try next?

Also, here's a link to Dustins setup if you want to take a look

What type of dirt are you racing on? On a similar surface to West Coast RC, his setup works pretty well.

However, on a lower bite track, a few adjustments can be made. On one of the Low-Med bite tracks here, I'm actually running Grey rear springs to give it some more traction and not wash out coming out of the corners. I'm also only running a 10.5.
