The shocks will less likely bottom out after jumps and bumps because the bladder flexes, more of a solid feel I guess.

They are building the shocks more like an AE shock...with a bit of air in them. You cut the bladder out and basically leave the rest as a gasket or top o ring. The hole in the shock cap gets sealed when you tighten the cap onto the body so leakage will not be an issue.

So you leave a bit of air in the shock ? Doesnt the oil foam up? Im just getting back into the game but we used to build them with no air and a little rebound. The ancient AE shocks circa 1990 had just a little o ring between the cap and body and it was nearly impossible to get all the air out....the bladders fixed that issue.

The AE shocks were designed to have a bit of air in them. In off-road this will provide a smoother shock and should create a more stable / predictable handling car. With the bladder it will cause it to feel a bit more bouncy as their is no air in the oil...the air is above the bladder.

Just found out that Horizon will be shipping the first batch of 22's on Monday. Checkered Flag in STL should have them on Tuesday.

When I ran for academy way back we used to flip the bladders over and treated them like an emulsion shock. Any chance this would work on the 22 shocks?

OK, these are gettin close to being in our hands here.

Any advise before building would be nice.

Tips that may deviate from the kit setup for us heading to the So Cal clay tracks.

I'm seeing the shock bladder thing, any other team guy opinions on this?

Frank, Mike T., Dustin, Matt? (droppin the names of the big dogs )

Shock oil wt, springs, shock mount positions, camberlinks, ride height etc...?

OR will the kit setup still be a safe neutral place to start as has always been the case with Losi kits.
