How did it go?

I would love building my LMX-T with the gear diff 4 gear trans, should I wait for it or is it still a long way off?

For the 8.5 start with around 18/86 and adjust to temp.On the 17.5 around 26/78 non boosted or 22/78 with a boost speedo for a starting point.

man those things look good in black, can't wait to get mine. On a side note, a guy in the UK said the ball diff version needed some modding to fit in the CR2, I asked im to post pics of the mods needed but haven't seen any. When will the gear diff one be ready? what advantages does it offer over the ball diff on the track?

Yeah I talked to him.The bottom mounts that I lenthened to eliminate the spacer between the tranns case and chassis on the LMX need to be shortened back up for the atomic carbon car because there is a shimm they attach to the chassis in that location. It's about an hours worth of work to tweek the programs and I will be selling tranns cases specific to the atomic car.As far as the gear diffs strengths and weaknesses I will let you know with time. From what I hear they stand up to mod power very well requiring less maintenance than a ball diff on high bite surfaces. My gear diff will be going in my oval truck for some carpet oval abuse this winter. If the gear diff holds up to mod oval on carpet, it's bullet proof.

As for the availability of gear diff cases, I am going to be listing a Pre-order of the first batch of 10 case sets Tomorrow. The ship date will be listed as being on (or before) 11-6-10.I got a TON of e-mails wanting these cases so For the first batch I will need to do the pre-order to also keep on top of everything else.

Also for those that plan to order the gear diff tranns cases for an atomic carbon CR2 , contact me and let me know and I will make sure you get the version you need for the CR2.
