From what I understand there are 6 manufacturers in China that can do high C rate packs suitable for RC. One of them is our manufacturer which only makes them for us. You will soon see many new packs from us as were getting into the flight market as our packs have been tested with great results in the flight market.

Our new Sport MAX line of packs will offer the highest possible capacity while staying within ROAR size packs. Our 6000/28C will fit in the same case as our 5200/40C.

Feel free to email me if you need help or info as if possible I will help you.

Danny,

I know we talked last night about why you didnt build a pack to fit the AE cars, and im fine with that. Can I custom order a pack thru you? I would buy one if you would make me one.

that may be absolutly impossible, but just asking.

Trout.

Get me the size of the AE battery tray and what is the maximum height and I will see what I can come up with but it will have to be a softcase pack.

Someone PLEASE with this... If possible the height for use in the RC8T as well. I also would love some SMC in my RC8T conversion.

Can this be answered?

Is it true that for a 13.5T Brushless you do not need anymore than 18C? I have read that anything over this number is completely useless.

Danny, I just checked the website and don't see the 5200/40c. Is that new, or part of the "coming soon C-MAXX"?

Cycle life should be another thing to consider when purchasing a Lipo. Cycle lif will depend on the quality of the materials used and the way the cells are made/assembled.

Cycle life is tested by doing 100 consecutive cycles with only 8 minute delays in between each cycle. The discharge current is half the C rate which is more than what a typical pack will ever encounter. The standard is that the cell/pack most retain 70% of it's capacity after 100 cycles.

Here are the results of one of our 40C cells. The capacity retained after 100 cycles is 91% which is 21% above the acceptable standard.

Were good at releasing high quality packs but for marketing and websites were off the pace. LOL

Packs have been shipping for the past 2 weeks but supply has been limited as our supplier closed down for a few weeks due to the Chinese New Year vacation.

That is not true as typically the average voltage and IR of an 18C pack will not be as good as a higher C rate pack. The materials used and the way the manufacturer makes the packs also influences the performance.

In my opinion our 5200/24C pack is probably the best bang for the buck at the moment as it has good average voltage and IR and the price is pretty good for a pack that is being sold through distribution channels.

Our new Sport MAX 6000/28C pack which we plan on releasing in March should be a tough pack to beat for the price and what you get. We have gotten a sample pack and it looks really good.

Ill tell you this right now, I have a couple Kokam Orion Race Pack 3800mah 35C and a Tenergy 5200mah 25C pack and I cannot tell the difference between packs with my 13.5T Brushless.

I know I will sound like I'm biased but you should get one of our 5200/24C packs to compare to your Orion pack. I guarantee our pack will have more power. If it doesn't email or PM me and I will buy it back from you.

With an answer like that, the next time I buy some race packs it looks like I will be trying SMC.

one other thing to throw at your noggin,is that i heard a few years back ,some namebrand battery suppliers would abuse the c rating system by taking something like a 6000 15c battery(90 amp output)then call it a 3000 30c battery(also 90 amp output).or something to the same effect, maybe not that drastic of a change, but you get the idea.
