ROAR Presents the 2008 PA Electric Inddor Off-Road Challange
#31
From the Electric 1/8th conversion thread:
Ok, I'm sure it won't be hard to get 10+ ppl to show up to run elec. 1/8th class. BUT if this is a ROAR race, are hardcase lipo's absolutely required? The vast majority of people running 1/8th electric are NOT using hardcases. On the other hand, ROAR has no rules at all for this class yet, so I say run what ya brung, and hope ya brung enough! Can we get a ruling from a ROAR-ite? Thanks
Please read

Good question. And being that it's a ROAR race, are there going to be ROAR passes available for us non-ROAR members? And how does a ROAR membership work? If I signed up, would that just be till the end of the calander year or would it be for a year from now?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I found my answer on McCullough's forum:
McCullough wrote:
I will alow the use of non hard case lipos
I will talk to kevin about the listing of the race
I believe roar has a 5.00 one day roar membership
will talk to kevin on the entry cost
So, 1/8th elec need not worry about hardcases!

We had another great electric turnout at McCullough's yesterday. All modified electric classes were pretty good with competitive fields. We had at least 15 2wd Mod, 10 Truck Mod, as well as a full main of 4wd. I'm looking forward to this race. With a decent turnout from out-of-town racers we could be looking at 30 cars in a class...

I was NOT going to attend but given the size and competition lately, I will be attending this race!!

OK Guys,
The cost is $20.00 per class.
The ROAR membership is $15.00 for a day or $30.00 for the year.
For this race we approve the soft cell lipos but going forward hard case lipos will be required.
Thanks

Hey Guys,
Just a few weeks away from the race and I am starting to rebuild my cars.
I have a B4 for the little man to wheel..... Are there any Novice racers at the club races.
Thanks
Kevin
