Angry mt final diff gear

i have a hpi nitro mt ive gone thru 5 pairs of stock final diff gears
in the rear end they last about a half hour the last one i put in
i was out of grease so i ran it dry it lasted about an hour.
when i take it apart the only gear that is stripped is the 13tooth
gear the the other gear (38tooth) is fine. there is also a fine black
powder in the gear box. help me.

its a 4x4 the front one ive never had a problem with ,but the rear one doesnt last one day ,i even went to a 14tooth onthe bellgear
it had a 12tooth stock ,to take some torque on the bottom end
also tried running no grease, no luck

i wouldn't expect no greese to help that should just make it wear faster.

so you are still running 4wd? that was my only thought I really dont know what to say or reccomend now.
