Ya, I was looking at the MF2. I was thinking of getting a used one on ebay for like $125 shipped roller. cause my xxx-nt uses the same parts, i will think about it. I mostly want a basher but I just want it to be fairly good at the track. And To beat my friends rustler xl-5! my LHS really is a plane HS, but they have 2 experienced guys and if you order a part, yo can get it the next day. I was also thinking of getting a DT roller when it comes out so it should be pretty durable and I can get the ball diff for it. How about the Tamiya buggies??? Keen Hawk or Dark Impact, then upgrade it worth of $70 with shocks, front one-way, slipper, etc.

the DB-01 IS, but you will need shocks, slipper, and other misc. things to make it competative unlike an AE or Losi

I had the same needs and I got a lazer ZX5 RTR a few month ago.
I'm very happy with this one, I'm not saying it's the best, but far better deal than a tamiya DF03 that I had before and was keeping breaking part and transmission (no slipper).

And there is a lot of hop up to convert it to a lazer SP wich would be quite good on a track.

the only thing is that it is RTR when I already have servos and everything. aND the competation kit is $240 so that is out of the picture.
