6 Cell or 7 Cell Traxxas?
My son has a Traxxas Bandit (non-brushless) and currently using Venom 3000mah NIMH batteries in it. I just found Duratrax 7-Cell Batteries that are 2000mah NiMH. The buggy would be faster with the 7-Cell 2000mah? but what about run time?

I could be wrong but that is my experience.

I've found that a higher quality 6 cell pack (ib4200 for example) will outperform a budget 7 cell pack (tenergy 3500 in my case)
going to better cells may be a better plan than going to more cells

Agree with both previous posters. But also consider gearing when going to 7 cells: Even with the same batteries, 7 cell run time will generally be shorter, due to the increased performance, if you stay with the same gearing. Plus the motor will get hotter, and wear faster, at least if it's brushed. I would recommend reducing the gearing some when going to 7 cells. Then you can still get some increased speed, even more increased punch/acceleration, with better runtime and motor life.
