Another thing i just thought of, this will raise costs for the 4wd electric buggy. The current rules do not allow for saddle packs and they will be forced to buy NIMH at the level they are already, while keeping up with the rest of the world

No it won't, you will start seeing Lipo saddle packs come out of the woodwork.

i race a kyosho lazer with no undertray and i dont know how but i got a huge dent in one of my 6 cell packs. im sure if this was a soft lipo it would have melted half my car. yes you run an undertray but it can happen.

I don't use an undertray with my Lazer. But maybe if I put a soft case Lipo in it I would use a piece of lexan underneath.... Pretty simple fix for that.

Why sell when ROAR recommends for local programs to keep doing what they are doing this year and the 13.5 will have it's own class in 2009???

I'll can see it being bigger than the 27 turn next year. No reason to go out and buy 17.5 this year unless you are going to the Nats this year.

There is a difference, your NIMH hang right at the lowest level of the chassis, Mine are about 1/8" above the lower side of the chassis. I do intend to get the 1/16 piece of lexan to underlay the Lipo, but just saying i don't see a problem, unless the chassis breaks
