its far from a mini gas track.....gees Casper...... LOL

its flowing and fast and no breaker jumps...there are two definate lines that will form and definately a few passing areas for some exciting racing.

Tony - yes, we will have MaxAmps supplies in our shop. But, we are relaxing on the hard case ruling this year as its the first year of Lipo use at our track.. .next year, we'll be firmer on it.

The mini gas track was not a bad thing. Just a real flowing layout. Not the typical hard corners "electric" tracks typically get. Should make for some exciting racing.

LOL..... just heard that a lot from guys seeing the pictures..

Wait until you see it... it looks awesome and so many choices in passing. The best driver over all will be the winner... not the most durable car...

2 questions... since the fence is coming down on Monday, is the shop going to be open? Which leads to....

Do you have the Reedy 5000 Lipo's in stock? Price? (ok, that was 3, sorry).

Yes, store open Monday.. not sure on the hours though.....

Reedy - should have them soon.... Reedy is sending us 25 and I thought we would have them by now. Price will be under $100.00 each.....

I got back from our first club race on the new Cactus track and thought I'de let you know my thoughts about it.

The track is very easy and very fast. Will make for some tight racing!! The track is obviously still settling in and was pretty loose at times (we ran wet). The fast times of the night were a couple in the 20's, but more consistantly 21's. Once the blue groove comes and these factory drivers show up, that's going to drop at least a few seconds. If I had to guess....maybe 17-18s? Totally guessing.

The step up rulz!!

The double-single/triple will for sure seperate people. Most 4wd's were doing it with ease, a handful of 2wd buggies, and I think maybe 2 trucks did it......this was the SRS class btw (10.5 brushless/19). The mod guys won't sweat this triple at all. But this will also for sure change for the SRS class once the blue is down and you're hooked up more.

You're on the gas hard on this track, and although it is fairly easy, and not that technical, it is a seriously FUN track!!!!

Just trying to get you folks pumpped. The track rulz!! Awesome FLOW. Nice elevational changes. Waayy fun!! Great job Joey guy and SRS crew!!

Thanks Mark!! That was the intention... SRS hasn't had a FAST TRACK for Cactus in years. Its always been about the technical and making cars prove their durability...

this year, we wanted to see and prove to the world who the fastest and most consistent in speed driver is... this track will prove that.

The groove, once it comes in, will make for a totally different track than the club racing on wet dirt last night.....

The fence comes down tomorrow mid morning to afternoon and controlled practices start Wednesday when Jimmy Babcock arrives to run the show.........

This track is great! It really flows. No big vehicle breaking jumps so it there will be a lot of driving battles instead of waiting to see who breaks first to define the winner. A true drivers track. I was concerned about my stock truck making the step-up but no problems. The wall riding after the step-up is pretty cool too.
