Setup for tight carpet track [XX-4]?
#16
I once ran a xx-4 on carpet too. I lower it(chassis to carpet) . Ran 70 wt in shocks.limit droop with spacers inside shocks. Removed slipper. Put street weapon shaft in. Beacause can blow out slipper running on carpet. I ran foams on wheels foams cut to small dia. hope this helps.

How would I take out the slipper? Will this improve performance? I understand that most 4wd racers do this.
#18
Anybody? Slipper removal?
#19
I'm guessing but tighten it all the way?
#20
I'll try that until I can find out how to remove the slipper.
#21
I've now locked down the slipper. I still don't know how to remove the slipper. Help!

80 wt oil seems a bit thick, almost like honey. I use 30 wt and it works well... but I use a 2wd, sorry I was just shocked at the oil thickness you use!!

I think i-d be good with 60 wt. or less. Is that a picture of Brian Kinwald, the Dirtinator?

I am now reassembling the car. It wasn't built quite right, and, hey, it's fun to drive a car that YOU built. I'm now done with the drive train and steering assemblies. According to the LHS, I want the "front end to pull the car through the turns", so I tightened the front diff and left the rear alone. I've also got to raise 190 dollars to pay my dad back and get some new batteries. The old 2000's overheated and now won't hold a charge. I'm thinking Reedy 3300's. I'm going to need a new charger, and the LHS has a bunch of Super Brains in. Those cost 69.95. I need to make some money.

I just learned that Dynamite has A 2000 saddle pack availible, along with GP 3300's[not assembled].
