Default TEAM LOSI 8IGHT-T Vs KYOSHO ST-R

I am thinking to buy a truggy (Losi or Kyosho). Which one would you suggest?

The one that you can get the parts for easily.

Currently the Losi is the darling of the track and the Truggy d'jour, next week it could be the new Xray or the newer version of the ST-R or the Mugen or........

I would say see about getting a chance to wheel both of them and check out how they feel. Go with what feels better for you. Ask the owners of the vehicles you test to see what they really like about the vehicle, and what they don't.

And most importantly, go with what you can get parts for, and customer support.

All Losi owners should know where to find me!

I don't run truggies but my pit buddy does. He just switched from the Kyosho to the Losi and he is happy about it. He has a nice Kyosho for sale now.

I would suggest you wait and see what the longer chassis is like for the Kyosho. A man up by me in wisconsin has it and it looks awesome on the track, he said it was much nicer than the old style chassis. The Mugen MBX-5T looks great too! !ALMOST ALL ARE GOOD! Just my .02cents

Houston - I'm a LOT partial, haha. That's why I refrain from listing any pros and cons about either of the trucks themselves.

I can, however, point out that getting advice and information about Losi cars on RCTech is pretty easy (haha), and that alone is a huge selling point for the 8IGHT-T.

Both trucks are good, you can't lose. I agree that the most important thing will be to make sure you local hobby shop carries a supply of replacement parts for the truck you want before you buy.

The new "long" chassis for the Kyosho ST-R is scheduled to arrive next month and believe me, it's worth getting. There's a reason the ST-R recently won the Silver State Challenge in Las Vegas.

As for set-up help, maybe we need a Kyosho thread here on RC Tech...
