Default New with a XV-01 Chassis

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forums here and wanting to get back into RC Car shinanigans. I have a Tamiya XV-01 chassis that I haven't touched in about 5 years. I previously bought that one as it was 4 WD and it was the Lancia Delta Integrale body which I own IRL. So here's my main question right now.

Is it worth rebuilding and upgrading this bad boy still. Or should I put this on a shelf and get something newer to start working on?

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

There is a lot of love for the XV01 chassis. It really depends what you want to do with it. Its a realistic 10th scale rally car, but obviously can't handle much offroad like a buggy can.
if you want to run on gravel, carparks etc then yes, its a great runner. If you want to run on dirt with big jumps, not so much.

There isn't much discussion on this forum for Tamiya models outside of on-road racing. You might internet search for TamiyaClub forum. It's dedicated to all things Tamiya.

Here's the XV-01 discussion thread in this forum. You'll find many build tips, modifications and tons of info about this great chassis.

XV01 is still a great chassis I think, and there's good parts availability still. I would see no reason to abandon it personally if it works where you want to run it.
