I havent had any issues with the screws in my cv's using blue locktite, but I did clean everything well with degreaser before assembly, as they were pretty well covered in machine oil. Maybe that has something to do with it? I've also got cv boots over the joint so I could pack them full of grease and keep any grit out.

I'm currently just using the stock pitbull dual stage foams in my 1.55 growlers, but plan on changing to crawler innovation lil nova's soon.

Ya....I may put the drive lines and use some nitro clean and try that....great point....I am loving the way the memory foam gives on the initial and allows the tire to grab but the CC foam holds the sidewall on steep grades.....gotta use stuff from my indoor lot you know....lol....Great idea for boots as well....

for the cv boots? It's in the link, TDR310258

I just use cable ties to secure the main leaf to the smallest top leaf. Combined with chino modding the eyelets I'm happy with how it performs. No twisting of the leaves at all.

Well....could have gotten some debris in the motor....Did you pull the brushes to see what they look like? Just like indoor clay racing....you aren't pushing it unless you break something.......hope its nothing major....

So I had read on one of the posts and crafted some homemade spring clamps. I took off the zip ties and took an .89 cent peace of flat brass that is 5/16th of an inch wide. I cut in to 3/4 lengths. I bent them over the springs to make a clamp...They still slid slightly so I but a dab of CA foam glue that is flexible. Tadaaaa....No more breaking zip ties. This does limit articulation....I need to do the Chino mod to the Red rc4wd springs I have on my sawback.....My sons I have decided to put a single link from center tranny support to rear axle to help with torque hop and lunching the leafs......1st pic is of the clamps....I had to post a pic of my organized RC "barn"....Doesn't include a 22t I loaned out, a yz-2 I have yet to build and a TF2 I almost have done....feed the addiction....lol

Very nice! So I lunched my leaf springs again...its happening when wheel hopping under torque. There bending at the brass trap pictured above..we are climbing the 8 to 10% grades....I know its a Lil crazy...I guess I just have to be more patient w throttle.....I decide to pull my as red rc4wd springs and go w soft.....

OK....I started over with springs. I put long SOFT ones on after doing the CHINO mod....Then I put smallest leaf UNDER this time....No tie straps. I also picked up some traxxas captured end tie rods....Part number listed in pics. I attached to front and rear pumpkins and drived a single hole in the front and rear of the SCALERFAB tranny plate. I also used 6 mm shime to make links closer to level and to take away any BUMP torque on the axles from the link when the suspension compressed. I came out pretty darn nice. Gonna test tomorrow....No more killing leaf springs. I hope...lol...
