I was just on the Wcics.ca website trying to signup for tomorrow's race However, it is not yet listed,

Has the new wcics board decided to use a different method of registration or is this just delayed?

I will message Luke Pittman to see if he has any insight. For the mean time, please sign up on the race's official thread, or at the race until we have this sorted out.

Thanks

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the delay updating the website - but it's been done now.

Just a reminder - if you want your races results to count toward points you must be using RC Scoring Pro and it must be setup to output results to LiveRC. Either version works, however version one is easier for me to gather data from.

For instructions on enabling the output to LiveRC, check out this post by Blake:

2018/2019 WCICS Official Thread

Once your race is complete:

If you are running RCSP v1 - You'll need to grab the appropriate files, zip them and send them to me.
If you are running RCSP v2 - You'll need to install TeamViewer and send me the connection info so I can connect to your laptop and extract the data from the database.

If you use another timing system, or if you don't enable the LiveRC and therefor don't have the right files, then I will not be able to add your races results to the system and you will cause all kinds of headaches. So please - consider this BEFORE your race and not after, as it could be too late by then.

Cheers
Luke

Default Temp gun for tech table.

Good day!

If we are going to check the temp of batteries at the tech table, is there a WCICS supplied temp gun or is it up too the host club to supply one?

Thanks, Neil.

WCICS no longer supplies any tech equipment. Going forward each WCICS club is responsible for supplying all the tech items needed for the event. So in your case, whatever temp gun you choose on Friday would be the spec for the weekend.

As per ROAR. I believe it's 1 fan and no larger then 30mm for the motor, but please double check to be sure of the exact wording.

Hey guys!

For the millionth time... two things regarding your scoring computer setup & series points:

1. Please make sure your class names are exactly the same as on the WCICS website:
  • Great Hobbies TC Stock
  • XRay-RCAmerica TC Mod
  • Gravity RC 12th Stock
  • Reedy 12th Mod
  • Blinds Plus Scale Spec
  • Gripworks RC F1
  • ATD Hobbies Tamiya Mini
2. Make sure the race director has your name entered correctly, in the correct format:
  • <Last Name>, <First Name>
  • <First Name> <Last Name>
Above is the only correct format. Other formats will not be accepted. If your points get imported incorrectly because of this it will not be changed.

Thanks!

Enjoy the rest of the season everyone!

With 12th mod basically dead and some people saying they don’t want to run 17.5 because they feel it’s to slow.
Why don’t we run super stock 12th instead of mod then we still have 2 12th classes and a chance for more people to run it. Super stock can be 13.5 or 10.5 if more people want a fair amount of speed

I know we have had a very crappy end to the season but it’s not to early to start getting ready for the upcoming season.

How about 21.5 2s
It's good speed, minimal fade and opens the door as racers won't have to invest in a 1s esc
lorider75 and Juniorabca like this.

I really want to try 21.5 2s only reason I would be against it myself is there is no other races with 21.5 2s 12th so now your limited to when get to race with the gear you put in the car.

Have you actually tried this setup and what are your thoughts of this vs the current spec?

Also, what's the word of rubber tires, did they work out for 12th?

I did try the 21.5 2s in a 12th scale car last year and it was nice and easy to drive. It isn't really much faster or slower than a 13.5t 1s, in my opinion. The nice thing about it is that you don't have to invest in a 1s esc just to race this class as I am sure lots of us have a spare 2s esc somewhere..
